May the family find comfort in loving memories, and in knowing that God is “close to those that are broken at heart; and he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18) Our loving Creator, Jehovah God, has promised to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces” (Isaiah 25:8). With deepest sympathy.

We are so sad to hear of Shirley’s passing. May she now be at peace with our heavenly Father. I have such vivid memories of “growing up” at her always bountiful table and home. A strong woman, indeed. With deepest sympathy.
Cam Melangton says
The Melangton family is sad for the loss of Aunt Shirley. She was a one-of-a-kind Aunt, and a strong, Matriarch at family gatherings. She and Uncle Bill, and cousins Susan, Kathy and Cindy were influential in our lives and present for many holidays and special occasions through the years and we always looked forward to seeing them. Shirley had a talent for letting us know exactly where she stood on most subjects and she was not one to “beat around the bush” about her thoughts – a Kennedy family trait. We have many fond memories and she will be missed, and we would like to express our deepest sympathy to our cousins and may she rest in peace and be reunited with Uncle Bill – A wish she shared over the holidays.

Please accept our condolences. Your loss is felt by many. The Sparrenbergers and the Reels have been friends for years. Talking with Shirley always made me feel good. Shirley would first asked about each of my relatives. Then she would repeat Ann, Frenchy, Shirley, Bill stories.
“But, as for me it is good to be near God..” (Ps 73:28)
